Bóra (Croatian BURA, Slovenian BURJA) is a north to north-easterly wind occurring in the Adriatic, Greece, Russia and Turkey. The name bora comes from a figure of the north wind named Boreas from Greek mythology. A seaside restaurant in the area of Makarska Riviera, specialising in local cuisine and seafood, found the inspiration for its name in this particular wind. The BURA RESTORAN logo portrays a ship propelled by such wind, with these elements evoking the zeal and determination of the restaurant owner.
